Metallurgy of base metal, precious metals and steelmaking have been in the portfolio of PEK since its foundation and included copper metallurgy, nickel metallurgy both laterite and sulphur, niobium and studies and engineering for Pig Iron, Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI), Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and Granulated Pig Iron (GPI) plants.
